Genesis Metals (TSXV:GIS) has been around for a decade.

After the first part of my interview with Rick Rule generated quite a bit of attention, I’m pleased to continue with the interview in this second, and equally extensive part, in a series of no less then four parts. As Rick is one of the best speakers in the mining sector, there is no shortage of lengthy, whitty, funny and knowledgeable answers.

After Standard Lithium (TSXV: SLL) (OTCQX: STLHF) (FRA: S5L) managed to arrange a C$5M (US$3.75M) convertible loan and guarantee agreement with Lanxess on October 30, 2019, management hasn’t been sitting on its hands. On February 26, 2020, the company announced that an ongoing capital raise, intended to raise C$6M, was closed at no less then C$12.1M.

After raising C$0.87M in October of last year, Blue Sky Uranium (TSXV: BSK; US-OTC: BKUCF) has been busy defining drill targets on their fully owned Amarillo Grande Uranium Vanadium project in Rio Negro, Argentina. An 8 kilometre long IP survey has been completed, which identified a 5 km long anomaly 20 km north of the Ivana deposit.

1. Introduction

Sometimes I come across a familiar name that seems to be around forever, not achieving remarkable highs or lows, just following its course quietly like a small river or creek. In those cases I often look in vain for upcoming catalysts, as such companies usually don’t have fast-tracking mentioned in their dictionairies.

Golden Arrow Resources (GRG.V, GARWF.US, G6A.FSE) recently came out with some pretty interesting news on their Indiana gold project in Chile. They managed to amend the definitive agreement with the property owner Mineria Activa, a Chilean private equity investment management firm focused on exploration to production-stage assets in mining.

Several months ago I thought of something different. Wouldn’t it be nice to interview the real movers and shakers in the mining industry? I decided to start with Rick Rule who is present at almost every conference I go to myself, and easily approachable.

1. Introduction

At a time when tax loss selling is at its peak, Golden Arrow Resources (GRG.V, GARWF.US, G6A.FSE) seems to have bottomed, and is regrouping after the sale of its interest in the Puna operation. New exploration projects have been acquired and exploration is on its way, and with a new focus on gold this time combined with a robust gold price, and by owning a large amount of SSR Mining shares, the company seems ready to generate interesting news starting in Q1 2020.

1. Introduction

It has been a quiet year so far for Blue Sky Uranium (TSXV: BSK; US-OTC: BKUCF), as the uranium oxide spot prices dropped off again after a run-up in H2 2018, rising almost 50%, only to pull back another 20% or so from these heights as can be seen at this chart, which can be found on the website of Cameco:

Nonetheless, as one of the premier low cost development plays in the uranium space, Blue Sky managed to continue working on their Amarillo Grande project in the Rio Negro province in Argentina, and recently raised fresh cash.

All cashed up after raising C$1.1M in an oversubscribed financing in July, Alianza Minerals (ANZ.V) was ready for their 2019 Phase II drill program at their flagship Haldane silver project, after their Phase I drill target defining program was completed earlier this summer, and drilling begun in late August.
